چکیده

murmurs were found in most, the only constant abnormality was abnormally wide splitting of the first sound with accentuation of the delayed component. This abnormal sound was thought to be caused by delayed closure of the abnormally large anterior leaflet of the tricuspid valve, especially as its delay was almost exactly related to the degree of right bundle-branch block. Ultrasonic recordingsfrom the tricuspid valve and mitral valve with simultaneous phonocardio-

Echocardiographic spectrum of Ebstein's anomaly of the tricuspid valve.

Sixteen patients aged between one day to 18 years with Ebstein's malformation of the tricuspid valve were studied with ultrasound. The findings were compared with a group of 74 patients without Ebstein's malformation. Two features were considered specific for Ebstein's malformation: 1) ability to record the anterior tricuspid leaflet (ATL) farther to the left of the left sternal border than in ...

Value of M-mode echocardiography for non-invasive diagnosis of Ebstein's anomaly.

M-mode echocardiographic studies were performed in 11 patients, most of them adults, with Ebstein's anomaly of the tricuspid valve, proven by cardiac catheterisation. Simultaneous recordings of the tricuspid and mitral valves were obtained in all cases, the transducer position being outside the left midclavicular line in seven patients. Tricuspid valve closure followed mitral valve closure in a...

Corrected transposition of great vessels and Ebstein's anomaly of tricuspid valve. Echocardiographic findings.

A case is reported concerning echocardiographic findings in a patient with congenital corrected transposition of the great vessels and Ebstein's anomaly of the tricuspid valve. This presented an unusual opportunity to study atrioventricular valve closure in a patient in whom the Ebstein's malformation involved the systemic atrioventricular valve. The mitral to tricuspid valve closure interval w...

Echocardiogram in Ebstein's anomaly with Wolff-Parkinson-White preexcitation syndrome, type B.

SUMMARY The echocardiographic features of Ebstein's anomaly include a large anterior chamber, para-doxic ventricular septal motion (type B), increased velocity and amplitude of anterior tricuspid leaflet (ATL) motion, and delayed closure of the ATL. This delayed closure has been thought to be secondary to right bundle-branch block (RBBB). We have studied two patients by simultaneous echocardiog...

Echocardiography in the Diagnosis of Ebstein's Anomaly of the Tricuspid Valve

Nineteen patients aged between 4 days and 40 years with Ebstein's anomaly of the tricuspid valve have been examined with echocardiography. The diagnosis was verified with angiocardiography in all but one patient. The results at echocardiography are compared with those found in some other patients where an echo from the anterior tricuspid leaflet could be obtained (atrial septal defect, total an...
